Como ciudadana que camina las calles y siente el pulso de un país que usted parece reducir a una simple hoja con cifras, me veo en la obligación de responder a su lógica de «sumas y restas», que tanto daño le hace a la democracia.

Usted afirma que Sergio Fajardo es «terco» por no someterse a consultas y que sus votos son «inútiles». Permítame decirle que lo que usted llama terquedad, millones de colombianos lo llamamos coherencia.

Lo que usted etiqueta como inutilidad, nosotros lo llamamos: la única alternativa para no caer en el caos de los extremos y el abismo del odio.

Su análisis comete tres errores fundamentales que ignoran la realidad de una llamada Nueva Mayoría que se está gestando en Colombia:
La trampa de los espejos: Usted presenta a Abelardo de la Espriella e Iván Cepeda como «inalcanzables».

Lo que en realidad muestra esa encuesta es que el país está atrapado en un empate de miedos. Un 30% que teme a uno y un 30% que odia al otro.

Esa polarización es la que tiene a Colombia mamada, paralizada y dividida. Fajardo no está «atrás»; está ADELANTE y afuera de ese círculo vicioso de revanchismo que ustedes insisten en alimentar.

La falacia de la consulta: Usted critica que Fajardo no fue a una consulta. Pero olvida que las consultas, en este clima de crispación, son máquinas de triturar matices.

El centro no se fortalece gritando en una plaza contra un enemigo; se fortalece con método, rigor y propuestas como el Plan Guardián o la lucha contra la corrupción. Ir a una consulta con sectores que solo buscan el poder a cualquier precio sería traicionar la valentía de la decencia.

La aritmética del pasado: Resulta casi ofensivo que usted «reparta» los votos de Fajardo en una segunda vuelta hacia la derecha extrema. Los votos de Sergio Fajardo no le pertenecen a ningún político; le pertenecen a ciudadanos libres que rechazan el caos.

Asumir que quien busca la decencia terminará abrazando el radicalismo de De la Espriella es no entender que lo que Colombia quiere es, precisamente, dejar los extremos atrás.

Usted dice que Fajardo será el «culpable» de que no haya ganador en primera vuelta. Si ser el «culpable» significa evitar que el país elija entre el miedo y el odio, entonces esa culpa es nuestra mayor esperanza.

Faltan 165 días para las elecciones presidenciales en Colombia. En ese tiempo, mientras los extremos se dedican a insultarse, a maltratarse y a atacarse, nosotros seguiremos construyendo la Nueva Mayoría. Una mayoría que no quiere un «Tigre» ni un «Revolucionario», sino un Presidente con experiencia, que respete la institucionalidad y que tenga la capacidad de unirnos para llevar a Colombia Adelante.

La encuesta que realmente importa es la que se siente en las calles: el deseo de un cambio sin violencia y una seguridad con método y rigor.

Va jugando, sí, pero el futuro de Colombia no es una partida de dados entre dos bandos.
Colombia sigue y seguirá Adelante con Sergio Fajardo…
